Daily Maintenance Of High-purity Hydrogen Generator

The color-changing silica gel on the back of the instrument should be replaced every 120 hours of operation (do not reuse). Replacement should be performed under no-pressure conditions (Note: Never release air suddenly, as this can create negative pressure in the gas path and damage components).

 

Use a special wrench to unscrew the drying tube. First, remove the black O-ring, plastic pressure plate, and degreased cotton from the inner gas guide tube. Press the gas guide tube outlet with your thumb and pour out the color-changing silica gel.

 

When filling with new silica gel, press the gas guide tube outlet with your thumb to prevent silica gel particles from falling into the gas guide tube and clogging the gas path.

The silica gel filling height should be slightly lower than the height of the outer sleeve of the gas guide tube. Exceeding this height will cause the drying tube and drying tube cap to not seal properly and leak.

 

After filling with silica gel, check the bottom of the drying tube for silica gel particles. If any are found, remove and refill to prevent silica gel particles from entering the gas path and causing blockage.
