A high-purity hydrogen generator is a miniaturized device that produces high-purity hydrogen (typically ≥99.999%) on-site, converting water or other raw materials into hydrogen through electrochemical or chemical reactions. Compared to traditional high-pressure hydrogen cylinders, it offers advantages such as no high-pressure storage risks, continuous gas supply, controllable purity, and low maintenance costs.

Based on the technical approach, it can be divided into two main categories: hydrogen production via water electrolysis (the mainstream, including alkaline electrolysis (AE) and proton exchange membrane electrolysis (PEM)) and hydrogen production via chemical reactions (auxiliary). Its key components include an electrolysis module, a power supply module, a gas purification module, a control system, and a raw material replenishment module.

High-purity hydrogen generators are widely used in gas chromatography (GC), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), fuel cell testing, semiconductor manufacturing, chemical synthesis, environmental monitoring, education, and scientific research.

High-purity hydrogen generators can meet the requirements of various gas chromatographs. Pressure control employs a high-sensitivity fuzzy control system and an automatic tracking system, ensuring a pressure stability accuracy range of less than 0.001 MPa.
