A high-purity hydrogen generator is a miniaturized device specifically designed for producing high-purity hydrogen. It primarily utilizes water electrolysis technology, and is broadly categorized into two types based on the technological approach: water electrolysis (the mainstream method) and chemical reaction-based hydrogen production (auxiliary). Water electrolysis further includes alkaline electrolysis and proton exchange membrane electrolysis. It is widely used in gas chromatography, fuel cell testing, semiconductor manufacturing, and chemical synthesis. Compared to traditional high-pressure hydrogen cylinders, it offers advantages such as no high-pressure storage risks, continuous gas supply, controllable purity, and low maintenance costs.
A high-purity hydrogen generator mainly consists of an electrolysis system, a pressure control system, a purification system, and a display system. Hydrogen is produced through water electrolysis, while the generated oxygen is released into the atmosphere. The equipment employs a high-sensitivity, fuzzy automatic tracking control system, achieving automatic constant pressure and current, with a pressure stability accuracy of less than 0.001 MPa. Some models utilize SPE solid electrolyte technology or proton exchange membrane technology for direct electrolysis of pure water. The instruments are usually equipped with anti-backflow devices and overpressure protection devices, and some have automatic water replenishment functions, requiring only the addition of distilled water or deionized water for daily use.
